  61. Rosewood Journal is an Invoice Journal and complete Accounts Receivable
  62. program to be used in conjunction with any General Ledger program.It is
  63. especially useful for businesses which use manually written, serially
  64. numbered invoices.
  65.  
  66. Rosewood Journal keeps track of cash and credit sales invoices, payments
  67. on account, sales tax (up to two levels), and complete accounts
  68. receivable. Accounts Receivable lists are aged (current, 30 days, 60 days
  69. and 90+ days). Customer statements are designed to be folded into a
  70. standard business window envelope. These statements are also aged. A
  71. label maker is built in. Screen colours and names of sales taxes are
  72. user configurable. Rosewood Journal is simple to learn and easy to use.
  73. There is no need to understand accounting terminology. Entries are made
  74. quickly with the aid of softkey macros, an automatic search  function
  75. and intuitive data entry. A General Ledger report tells the amounts
  76. to be entered, and the accounts in which to enter them.

  105. To try the program, copy all the unzipped files to an empty directory on
  106. your hard drive. Change to that directory and enter RJ from the prompt
  107. and press Enter. The files shipped with the program contain sample data
  108. files for a fictitious company called, "Ripley's Fine Catering." The
  109. files are for January and February 1996. Move around the program and try
  110. the various options including entering invoices of your own. The manual
  111. is in the file, "JOURNAL.DOC." It is a good idea to print this out so
  112. that all the features can be understood. When you are ready to start
  113. entering invoices from your own business, delete all files with a .DAT,
  114. .IDX, and .CNF extensions so that your data will not get mixed with the
  115. data of the sample files.

  117. If you are updating from a previous version, copy ONLY the files,
  118. "RJ.EXE" and "JOURNAL.DOC" to your hard drive since copying the sample
  119. data files could overwrite your own data.

  121. If you are updating from version 3.xx, contact Rosewood Software for a
  122. free program to convert your existing data files. All data files from
  123. version 4.00 upward use the same data file format.

  126. Windows documentation on how to install MSDOS programs in Windows.

  154. concept. Non-registered users of Rosewood Journal are granted a limited
  155. license to use Rosewood Journal for a trial period not to exceed 90
  156. days. Any use of non-registered copies of Rosewood Journal beyond this
  157. trial period is forbidden.

  160. copies of Rosewood Journal as desired, and to use it on various
